In writing, students are starting opinion essays.  Here is a LINK to opinion articles for students to read and think about. Students can read and discuss their opinion on these topics or try a free write about the topic.

For spelling, students have access to Spelling City and can play games to practice some high frequency 5th grade words.

Typing Club is a great way to increase typing speed. All students have accounts. The expectation during the school year is that students complete about 3 sessions of 15 minutes per week.
